C. C. P. Harris House, 1835

Charles C. P. Harris was the sixth and youngest Harris son. He worked in his brothers' mills, laid out the avenues of the nearby cemetery, built a bridge over Goose Brook—probably the one next to the vestry—and served as town postmaster in his later years. His house, a 1 ½-story red brick cape, faces the length of Canal Street and backs onto the open water of Harrisville Pond. It has a Greek Revival paneled door and soldier course brick lintels over the windows. Two wood frame structures, which originally were separate houses, now connect to the brick house. Privately owned.
