Milan Harris House, 1833

Although his house is similar in essentials to the Cyrus Harris house built five years earlier, Milan Harris added further refinements characteristic of Greek Revival architecture. The 2 ½-story, red brick, gable-roofed house has narrow soapstone lintels and sills and a front entrance with a segmented brick arch and transom fan. A Victorian five-sided bay addition was later added to the projecting side entrance. Behind the house, an ell and attached barn extend the length of the house along Prospect Street. Privately owned.
